Continuing to promote their upcoming release of LEGO Dimensions, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have shared a new promotional trailer for one of the several crossover franchises to be included in the game. Although this is not a new series announcement, this latest video focuses on the appearance of Scooby-Doo and friends in the game.
Those who purchase the base “Starter Pack” of LEGO Dimensions will gain access to a complete, mission-based Scooby-Doo level that Bayman, Wyldstyle and Gandalf must traverse in their quest to stop Lord Vortech and save the LEGO Multiverse. This is comparable to similar levels offered for other franchises.
Those willing to spend a bit of money and explore more of what Scooby-Doo has to offer in the multiverse will be able to purchase a Scooby-Doo Team Pack. Available at launch, this pack will include LEGO Scooby-Doo and LEGO Shaggy minifigures, in addition to a LEGO Mystery Machine and LEGO Scooby Snack. Scooby-Doo and Shaggy each have their own abilities and the Mystery Machine and Scooby Snack can be physically built and then rebuilt twice for a total of three different objects that do entirely different things in the game. Either character can also unlock the Scooby-Doo Adventure World, an open-world environment which provides additional open world gameplay content separate from the game’s main story. Players can explore Scooby-Doo related locations and do additional activities in this Adventure World
LEGO Dimensions is set for release on September 28 2015 on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U gaming platforms.
