Next Major Expansion for The Sims 4 to Be The Sims 4: Get Together

-

After following our Sims to work in their last expansion pack, Electronic Arts and Maxis have confirmed that The Sims 4‘s second major expansion pack will be titled The Sims 4: Get Together. It remains unconfirmed if “Get” is going to be a recurring theme in expansion pack titles.

This new pack is set to offer a number of new social opportunities, with a feature set that seems to include concepts from past expansion packs including The Sims 1: House Party, The Sims 2: Nightlife and The Sims 3: University Life.

The Sims 4: Get Together is set to feature the brand new world of Windenburg, which has seemingly been developed to take advantage of features introduced in its respective expansion pack. The world is set to feature not only “picturesque landmarks” and “mysterious ancient ruins”, but offers pubs and dance clubs. Sims will have access to new group activities including foosball, midnight bonfires and dance parties. Your Sims will not be locked to venues either, and it will purportedly be possible to grab a DJ booth and hold a dance party anywhere – from a local hotspot to the Windenburg ruins.

By interacting with others, your Sims will also be able to join different clubs with distinct personalities, interests and styles. It seems like this will be an extension of campus groups system introduced in The Sims 3: University Life. However, according to the expansion pack’s product page, you will be able to create and customise your own club as well.

With The Sims 4: Get to Work only receiving a C grade in my previous review, here’s hoping for something that turns out to be a lot more attention grabbing and entertaining.

The Sims 4: Get Together is set for release in November 2015, and like all expansion packs, will require the base game to play.
