Mere days after announcing its release date, Idea Factory International have announced that Compile Heart JRPG Fairy Fencer F is now available for purchase via Steam.

This is an enhanced port of the original PlayStation 3 edition first published by Nippon Ichi Software America. Although there don’t seem to be any significant gameplay changes added to the mix, the PC edition does come with 1080p visuals and two complementary DLC packs:  “Beginner’s Pack” and “Secrets of Shukesoo’s Tower Pack”.

Comparable to quite a few other JRPG ports onto the Steam store, Fairy Fencer F will be available at 50% off its original price during its launch week. Therefore, rather than paying $29.99 for the game until 11 August 2015, you only have to pay $14.99 USD.

Official Synopsis for Fairy Fencer F

Long ago, a war was waged between the Vile God and the Goddess. Both forces were equally matched, and sealed each other into another world using a special weapon imbued with their powers. And so, time passed.

The weapons that the Goddess and the Vile God left were called “Furies,” and those who used them were called “Fencers.” Furies were rumored to grant any wish to those who collected them all, and because of those rumors, Fencers were constantly in battle against each other to collect the Furies.

By chance, a young man named Fang came to save a girl named Tiara, who turned out to be a Fencer. From that day forward, Fang found himself an important part of the battle between the Vile God and the Goddess.
