A couple of months ago, Bethesda Softworks unveiled and simultaneously launched Fallout Shelter on iOS devices during their E3 2015 press conference. Although nowhere near as complex as the actual Fallout video games, Fallout Shelter actually proved to be an enjoyable and fairly unique smartphone / tablet strategy game. There was just one problem for some… there was no support for Android devices. Fixing that issue, Bethesda Softworks have today confirmed that their mobile game is now available for free on Android devices, through the Google Play store.
This release coincides with a new update which introduces a number of new features. One of these is the inclusion of Mr. Handy – the ultimate robotic companion – as a premium reward. Players can use him to collect resources outside their vault, send him into the wasteland to collect caps of defend your vault. Also introduced are new Deathclaw invasions and Molerat infestations – set to cause more trouble for those remaining inside the vault.
