Although it has been more than two years since Anno Online was first available for any gamer to enjoy, Ubisoft and Blue Byte have announced that Anno Online can now be played via Steam.
Those willing to give the online strategy city-builder a try add Anno Online to their Steam library at no charge.
In addition to the Steam launch, a new update for Anno Online introduces new features to last year’s player versus environment battle system. Players can now upgrade their battle ships using the ship tech tree which unlocks powerful cannons, more resistant armor and more. There are also new quests and challenges available, which explore the rise of pirate captains, which are currently the toughest enemies present in Anno Online.
