Last night, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced their upcoming release of the PlayStation 4 Ultimate Player Edition. This new PlayStation 4 model, the first one with a major change since its launch in 2013, comes with a built-in 1TB hard drive. This change provides players with double the space of the launch unit, which only came with 500GB.
With a rising number of PlayStation 4 games providing a digital download option and many disc games also requiring a mandatory install of several if not tens of gigabytes, this extra space is likely to keep gamer’s with large collections out of the storage menu for longer.
The PlayStation 4 Ultimate Player Edition is set for release in Australia starting July 15 2015 at a recommended retail price of $549.95 AUD.
