Koei Tecmo Europe have decided to end this week with a new gameplay trailer and character profiles for their upcoming trap-action title, Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess. More information on the two main princesses and select secondary princesses (Who after being defeated in-game, will become available as playable characters in the Mission Mode) can be found below:
Laegrinna: Is aided by three Daemons in a quest to find and kill the descendants of the twelve Saints that bound her father. She uses trickery to lure them in traps and defeat them in Sadistic, Elaborate or Humiliating ways.
Velguirie: Her story is shrouded in mystery. Velguirie is awakened by an automaton, called Ephemera, after a long slumber that has caused her to lose her powers. To regain them, and to follow the wishes of the Devil in the process, she must lure humans into the demi-plane between the dreamlands and the waking world and use traps to ensnare their souls. Velguirie is the only character in the Deception series to also have an active power, as she can use kicks and somersaults to drive her opponents into traps, or away from her.
Millennia: The Clockwork Princess, who has been brainwashed since she was a child and made to hunt humans. As a result, Millennia never has any remorse or emotion over her actions. She has more stamina than the other characters and the power to use traps in rapid succession- after she powers them up.
Alllura: The Branded Princess, who was marked as a sacrifice for the Devil after being framed for killing her father. The brand on her arm allows her to automatically recover her stamina and to push enemies. She can also choose defensive abilities such as Recovery and Shock Wave.
Reina: The Tragic Princess, has been taken as a slave after her family was murdered on her 17th birthday. She is very agile, though not too strong, and has the unique ability to slow time and dodge enemy attacks.
