Continuing their development for 2014 survival horror video game The Evil Within, Tango Gameworks and Bethesda Softworks have released a new piece of downloadable content titled ‘The Consequence’. This serves as the second and concluding chapter of the two-part DLC storyline which began with ‘The Assignment’ in March 2015.
In The Evil Within: The Assignment and The Evil Within: The Consequence, players take on the role of detective Juli Kidman, Sebastian Castellanos’ mysterious partner, in a concurrent story that looks to answer some of the questions surrounding her whereabouts during The Evil Within. Along the way she will encounter disturbing new enemies, discover new mysteries, and uncover new horrors. The plan of these chapters is to provide players with an opportunity to discover Kidman’s hidden motivations and her mysterious link to Mobius, the shadowy group thought to be behind the events depicted in The Evil Within’s main storyline.
Although concluding the duology, this will not be the final piece of DLC released for The Evil Within. A third and presumably standalone chapter dubbed ‘The Evil Within: The Executioner’ is set to be available at a later date.
