Continuing to offer players new experiences in their (now) free-to-play MMORPG Tera Online, En Masse Entertainment have confirmed that the next major update to the game will go live on May 5th 2015. Following the launch of Fate of Arun last December, this update will provide players with a brand new class to create characters with: Gunner. Although they are not the only ranged class available to players (With alternatives including the light-armored Archers and magically-inclined Sorcerers), the archer class has been confirmed as a “fast-moving, high-DPS, ranged class who never stop to ask questions because they’re too busy shooting first”. These characters will have access to new weapons and run-and-gun tactics.

We can’t wait for players to get their hands on the new gunner class. With her powerful AoE attacks, big-ass arccannons, and summoned constructs, the gunner brings a lot of new elements to the table gameplay-wise, while still requiring the attention to positioning, the timing, and the skill that define TERA’s True Action Combat.
After being available for download through the game’s official website for many years now, En Masse Entertainment have also confirmed a Steam release of Tera Online is on its way. This will be available to download from May 5th 2015 at no charge, although if similar to EVE Online, it is possible that previously created accounts cannot be linked to Steam accounts.
