Having been at University for more years than I am willing to count, one of the best opportunities given to me during my time studying is the ability to network and attend seminars/events that are on offer. Game-loving students at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Plano, Texas and the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles should be very excited about this latest announcement from Square Enix.
Square Enix have confirmed that they will be holding special college lectures for students at these two colleges, to learn directly from the company’s Tokyo development team members. As the image above may already imply, these lectures will be about the personal experiences of Yusuke Naora and Kazuyuki Ikumori while working on Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and other prominent Square Enix projects.
SMU students will get to hear the insight from Yusuke Naora on February 26th 2015 at the Guildhall Satellite Campus – with a focus on the visuals of the Final Fantasy series. Kazuyuki Ikumori on the other hand will be speaking to USC students on March 12th 2015 about the creative process behind the CG movies of Square Enix.
Those who cannot attend these screenings will be able to watch the lectures in their entirety via Twitch.tv. However, if you are on-campus and can attend either of these sessions… I am envious of you.
