Even though those in Australia have had the good fortune of being able to own a New Nintendo 3DS since November 2014, there have been a couple of issues with being the first western market to receive the console. One of the big ones is that despite having the most technologically advanced Nintendo 3DS console to date in our paws, there have been zero games released exclusively for it to see just what it’s capable of.
One of the big New Nintendo 3DS titles that RPG fans have been waiting for is the port of Xenoblade Chronicles, which previously has just had a release date of “2015”. With the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL set to arrive in North America and Europe next month, Nintendo have finally locked in a release date for the game. Unless a complication arises between now and then, gamers will be able to pick up Xenoblade Chronicles 3D from April 2nd 2015.
The new version offers 3D visuals and allows players to view the maps and character stats on the bottom screen. Another new addition to the game is a bonus mode that lets players view 3D models of the characters and listen to tracks from the game’s musical score.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D WILL require a New Nintendo 3DS console to play, and will not be supported on previous console models.
