Sekai Project Are Putting MikuMikuDance Through Steam Greenlight

Many may know Sekai Project for their work in localizing and publishing visual novels, and usually that is what they work on. But today they have kicked off a new Steam Greenlight campaign for something different, the 3D animation software MikuMikuDance.

Granted, the software is available to download through other channels at no cost (It is completely freeware). However if MikuMikuDance becomes Greenlit, it would allow even more fans of Crypton Future Media’s Vocaloid characters an opportunity to download the tools at the click of a button.

It is currently unknown if there will be any additional features with a potential Steam release. However it would be very interesting to see something like Steam Workshop support, which would possibly allow fans to share their 3D character models and animations.

More information on MikuMikuDance can be found HERE, while you can pledge your interest in seeing this downloadable via Steam HERE.
