While not an issue limited to Nintendo consoles by any means, it is hard to not consider the Nintendo 3DS user interface as being dull in my mind.
Fortunately, Nintendo have today confirmed their plans to change this, with the confirmation of new themes to be launched for the Nintendo 3DS Home Menu from October 2014. These themes, based on various first and possibly third party franchises, will deliver new themed backgrounds, icons, folders, music and sound effects to further customize your console.
There has yet to be an announcement on when the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS LL models will be released outside of Japan.
