Idea Factory International Issues Statement Regarding Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 Order Issues 1

Many fans were left disappointed a few days ago when copies of the (international) Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 Limited Edition were sold out within minutes – with issues regarding shipping to international markets meaning that more than a few people couldn’t place an order, even if they tried to place an order the moment sales went live.

Idea Factory International have released the below (unedited) statement regarding the issues:

Hello everyone,

First of all, we would like to extend our appreciation to all of the fans who stayed up late or took the day off from work or school in order to purchase the Re;Birth1 Limited Edition. We know that the time of the release was not convenient, but since we were working with Amazon for storefront and distribution, our listing’s availability was subject to their timeframe, and listings are made available at midnight, Pacific Time, on the day that the product will be released. For some of you, it was midnight; for others, it was in the early hours of the morning, and for others it was during the day when you had other things going on. We are very touched to know that so many fans were dedicated to the release moment for the Re;Birth1 LE and we deeply share your disappointment that not everyone was able to obtain a limited edition copy.

To our international fans, we are devastated about the international shipping restriction that occurred. We previously confirmed with Amazon that our item would be available for Global Export, and were given a customer support line that customers could contact with questions about individual shipping costs, but we were told today that the original confirmation of the LE’s eligibility for shipment internationally was misinformed. They offered their apologies to us for the incorrect information and extended their apology to you, our customers.

Their official statement is that Amazon reserves the right to prevent export of any product or discontinue FBA Export features listed in the “Available Export Features” without prior notice. They are unable to disclose the specific reason for the item not being eligible internationally, as internal decisions by Amazon may change in the future. At the moment, there is no further information they can give on why the product is not eligible, but they are working to expand their list of eligible products.

Regarding the order limit quantity, for the most part the system was able to handle the maximum quantity of “1,” but Amazon informed us that the system processed a few orders that were for more than one, due to a glitch in their system. They are currently looking into it to prevent the same issue from occurring in the future.

It has been a rough few days, but we hope that, to those of you who were unable to obtain the Re;Birth1 LE, can understand the situation as it is now. For our next title, we will continue to work hard to meet your expectations and will do our best to provide an LE that can remedy the disappointment some of you have experienced this time around.

In the meanwhile, to those who have purchased the game on the PlayStation Store or are purchasing the Standard Edition, we hope that you enjoy the game and let us know your thoughts on it! Thank you so much to everyone for your continued understanding and support during this time.

  1. Was there and got the awesome cannot be shipped to your adress msg so was totally out of luck as well ><. Not gonan get this digital either, specially how lazily they releasing the game in Europe, not even caring, example the Swedish storefront have google translated text, totally confusing to read to mention one of the issues, and ofc no physical release in Europe.

    • I would have been frustrated to say the least if this happened to me.

At the very least it seems like they are embracing physical releases in Europe for Re;Birth 2.
