Gamers to Bid Farewell to GUST in October 2014 as Part of Merger with Koei Tecmo

-

Gamers to Bid Farewell to GUST in October 2014 as Part of Merger with Koei Tecmo 1Since they first launched in October 1993, the Japanese video game developer GUST have provided gamers with many memorable  video game experiences, including both Atelier and Ar Tonelico franchises that have continued to be strong in western markets since being introduced in 2005 and 2007 respectively.

In late-2011 the company was acquired by Koei Tecmo, but similar to how ATLUS has run with Index and Sega Sammy, has continued to run under its original name. Unfortunately this seems to end with GUST set to merge with its parent company from October 1st, 2014. The division will now be known as the “Gust Nagano Development Group.

The good news is that their development plans should not be hindered by this announcement.
