Bravely Default was an impressive Nintendo 3DS RPG which hit international markets starting late-2013, following its initial October 2012 launch in Japan. Boasting a strong reception from fans (Including Bronze in my own Video Game of the Year awards last year), the series is set to continue with a sequel “Bravely Second” and a few other media projects ongoing.
But a recent report has shown that sales have been pretty good as well for a more niche RPG, with 600,000 units sold in North America / Europe and 400,000 units alone in Japan – totalling more than a million copies being sold.
While this has not transitioned over to international markets, at least yet, Square Enix have launched a free-to-play demo of the game via the Nintendo 3DS eShop. The demo will contain the first four chapters of the RPG, while the other five can be purchased for 2,000 yen.
