While Link is set to be a “Sword and Shield” in Hyrule Warriors, Tecmo Koei have shared new footage which shows that he will also be able to use an array of different weapons in battle as well. One of these is the ‘Fire Rod’, which allows him to summon a large ball of fire to perform ranged and AOE attacks on foes.
Developed by Dynasty Warriors development team Omega Force and published by Tecmo Koei (Japan) and Nintendo (International), Hyrule Warriors is set to be launched from mid-to-late September 2014 in the Western market exclusively for the Wii U.
