The team at Ubisoft have recently shared a new promotional video for Watch_Dogs, showcasing what it would be like and how unsuspecting people would react if they suddenly had the capability to “hack” certain components of the real world via a smartphone app.

This is one of the core game mechanics in Watch_Dogs, where protagonist Aiden Pearce is in possession of a smartphone that has the ability to hack into Chicago’s Central Operating System (CtOS), granting him the ability to control lights, road blocks and many other elements of the game world.

Watch_Dogs is set to be released on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox360, Xbox One and PC gaming platforms from May 27th worldwide, with a Wii U release planned for an unspecified date in the future.
