TawStudio, a small independent game development studio from Brazil have recently announced their Steam release of Mr. Bree+. Described as a hardcore, side-scrolling, adventure / platformer with an emphasis on visual and musical aspects, the game pits you in the shoes of a family pig who seeks to make his way home through a variety of torturous stages.
After escaping from the captivity of wild boars, Mr. Bree suffers from amnesia resulting in him losing all memory of his family, the way home and even his movement skills. Across 45 story levels that supposedly “would dissolve any pig into tears“, you guide Mr. Bree during his quest to recover his missing memories and abilities. This is in addition to 15 secret stages that seek to highlight the darker past of what looks to be a fairly innocent pig.
Boasting full controller support, an amazing soundtrack (Which I have sampled and agree with the word “Amazing”) and harder modes – there seems to be quite a lot on offer in this game. The good thing is that it won’t break your wallet either, coming in at just $2.99. Until May 9th, 2014 they will be shaving an extra dollar off the Steam price as well… a full game for a gold coin doesn’t sound too shabby!
