With the PlayStation 3 release date for Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold (Known simply as Persona 4 Arena Ultimax internationally) being announced for August 28th, 2014 within Japan, ATLUS have begun streaming three new trailers for the upcoming fighting game that previously has only been available in select arcades across the region.

The first two trailers above and below are standard preview trailers balancing a mix of storyline and battle elements. In all honesty they don’t offer much if you have been following the game since it was announced in the second half of 2013. The third trailer is more unique, focusing on Rise Kujikawa who is promoted from Navigator character to a playable character for the first time in the series.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax has also been announced for international release at a later date on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 consoles. Here’s hoping they don’t decide to do a simultaneous dual-language release with Japan (or at least if they do, don’t decide on a strict region lock). While I am sure there are fans in North America that would love the option of both dubs and a release near identical with Japan… as a PAL region gamer I personally don’t want to be stuck waiting nine months for a release in my country due to another region lock.
