It has been many years since BioWare released Dragon Age II, but the wait for fans is set to soon come to an end with publisher Electronic Arts this morning confirming that Dragon Age: Inquisition, the third major instalment in the franchise, is set to hit store shelves within Australia on October 9th, 2014 with a subsequent release in New Zealand the day after. Retaining the same style of action RPG mechanics as past games, Inquisition is set to see a multiplatform release on both last and current generation PlayStation / Xbox consoles in addition to the standard PC release via Origin.
In Dragon Age: Inquisition, the expansive, beautiful world of Thedas is being torn apart by a massive, mysterious breach in the sky. Players must assume the role of the Inquisitor and lead a team of legendary heroes to uncover the truth behind the impending devastation.
Aaryn Flynn | General Manager of BioWare
Our goal with Dragon Age: Inquisition is to usher in the next-generation of role playing games. Players will experience the rich storylines and characters that they’ve come to expect from BioWare, in an expansive world with large open environments just begging to be explored.
