With their 20th anniversary celebrations now well and truly over, it seems like one of their titles released during the period has sold well enough to warrant itself a sequel. It was recently mentioned that The Guided Fate Paradox, an enhanced spiritual successor to Zettai Hero Project (2010), would be receiving a sequel in the form of The Guided Fate Cross Thesis, featuring a new protagonist and two new heroines who will play an important role in the storyline.
It has been confirmed that Cross Thesis will be available for purchase within Japan on the 24th July 2014, with no confirmed plans for an international release.
Taking place a few years after the first game, The Guided Fate Cross Thesis is set to be based around the concept of the “Ultimate Choice”. During the game, the protagonist will be posed several questions, including which of the two heroines he wishes to save from a potentially lethal fate. Given that is the starting point for examples, don’t expect everyone and everything to emerge from a single playthrough unscathed.
Also available below is a small set of character artwork and in-game screenshots, highlighting the transition from 2D to 3D character sprites on the field.
