While I was seeing copies of the game on store shelves as early as yesterday, Bandai Namco Games Australia have today announced the formal release of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita gaming consoles within Australia.
This will be the first time since their original PlayStation 2 launches in the early 2000’s that RPG fans will be able to return to Spira and follow the stories of Tidus and Yuna as they seek to put an end to the malicious entity known as “Sin”.
On top of featuring HD visuals and a completely recreated soundtrack for Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2 also has never before seen content from the Japanese “International” edition – including new dresspheres, a new “Last Mission” side-game and Monster recruitment tools. Unlike North America, most of the “new” gameplay features in Final Fantasy X were already included in the PAL region PS2 release.
A review of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster is set to go live in the next couple of days.
