GungHo Online Entertainment have announced that their mobile video game title Puzzle & Dragons will be featuring a new collaboration event with the film series “Rebuild of Evangelion”, which last year saw its third film debut in many international markets outside of Japan following its initial November 2012 launch.
This latest in-game collaboration for Puzzle & Dragons which comes close off the heels of the Hello Kitty collaboration will allow players to battle in a special Evangelion-themed dungeon where they will face off against the mysterious Angels. In addition, a special Rare Egg machine shaped like the EVA-01 will be featured in the game. Special egg drops will include popular Evangelion characters Shinji, Rei, Asuka, Mari and Kaworu, depicted with the EVA units they pilot, along with a depiction of Misato with the AAA Wunder flying battleship. Special Awoken Skills have been added the collaboration monsters, and all new Evangelion-themed Ultimate Evolutions will be available.
While this event is set to take place on the Japan servers from next Monday, international gamers will have to wait until an unspecified date in March to take full advantage of this event.
