Mindscape and Konami have announced a price adjustment for copies of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes when it launches on what could now be considered current-generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) when it launches next month. Releases on both consoles have been adjusted to $49.95, keeping in line with the retail pricing of the PlayStation 3 / Xbox360 physical editions.
The justification provided for this price change is that Konami aim to provide as many people as possible the opportunity to experience Kojima Productions’ new FOX engine at the first part of the Metal Gear Solid V line-up. The fact that other media outlets have reported a main campaign length of only a couple of hours MAY have had something to do with this as well.
