While I would personally estimate the likelihood of us receiving a localized mobile Tales game even lower than us receiving a Tales Vita game, with the boom of mobile gaming in Japan, Namco Bandai have recently confirmed that a new game titled “Tales of Asteria” will be available on iOS and Android devices later this year within the region.
Featuring a brand new storyline, this game is set to bring the likes of Cress, Lloyd, Luke, Yuri, Sophie and Milla (One character from each of the recent Tales games) together in one crossover title.
While little is still known about the specifics of Tales of Asteria, we do know that is is free-to-play (With paid content), will feature a cross-slide battle system and shall feature voice acting to a degree. Pre-registration has now opened and can be applied for via the games official website.
Tales of Asteria was one of the trademarks filed by Namco Bandai last year in the lead-up to the formal announcement of Tales of Zestoria. Time will tell just how many more of those trademarks will result in bonafide titles.
