CCP Games to Host 12-Hour EVE Online Streaming “Telethon” to Support Typhoon Relief

In the last week, video game developer CCP Games announced the launch of their PLEX for Good campaign, which allowed users to donate PLEX (An in-game item where 1 = 1 Month Game Time) in order to support relief efforts in the aftermath of the recent typhoon affecting millions in the Philippines. So far this campaign has raised over $43,000 USD from the community.

But the company is not content with just the PLEX pledges, and today have announced that they will be holding a 12-hour “telethon”. The charity livestream will take place between 13:00 UTC and 21:00 UTC on the 7th December 2013 via their Twitch channel HERE.

This won’t just involve in-game content, with some items on the schedule including EVE developers getting shot by paintballs, getting tattoos, being shaved and fighting Tae Kwon Do masters among other things. A tentative schedule and bonus pledge stretch goals is available HERE.
