Suqare Enix Announce Release Date for Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut… and It Isn’t Too Far Off

-

Eidos Montreal alongside publisher Square Enix have just announced that the definitive edition of Deus Ex: Human Revolution is set to hit store shelves on the Xbox360, Playstation 3, PC and Wii U platforms from the 22nd October 2013. A Mac version will follow this release at an unspecified date.

Tongs’s Rescue mission and the entire Missing Link chapter have been integrated seamlessly into the narrative flow of the  Director’s Cut. Other core  Deus Ex: Human Revolution augmentations include overhauled boss fights, refined game balance and combat, improved AI, over 8 hours of developer commentary, and striking visual improvements which make this edition quite possibly the most immersive Deus Ex experience available. In addition, the game embraces the Wii U Gamepad, Xbox Smartglass and Playstation Vita interoperability in order to provide players with a second screen of features through their touchpad capabilities.

David Anfossi | Head of Studio for Eidos-Montréal

Over the last 18 months the team has been working very hard on the development of the Director’s Cut. With this edition we gave the team the envious task of pushing the boundaries in innovative and creativity to explore something we believe will become a big part of the future of the franchise, the second screen experience.
