Whether it was in the arcades or on a home video game platform, for many generations of gamers Pac-Man has served as a staple franchise. Since the golden age of arcade games back in the early 80’s, Pac-man has always remained close to its maze genre roots as players scour a maze for pac-dots all the while avoiding and/or eating the four enemy characters – Blinky, Pinky, Inku and Clyde. However if you are after this classic gameplay you would have to look elsewhere.
Pac-Man Dash is a new side-scrolling platformer developed by Namco Bandai for iOS and Android devices. Users can play through more than 70 missions in stages based on the Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures animated TV series. The below trailer will explain the mechanics a bit more, but here are some of the titles promoted features:

If you haven’t seen the animated series the game is based on, this may be because it hasn’t gone live in Australia yet. The 26-episode television series created and produced by Avi Arad is set to air in Australia from the 27th September 2013 on Channel 11’s youth morning program Toasted TV (Which is sort of similar to the show Cheez TV many of us grew up watching). A line of toys based on the TV show are also set to launch in Australia during October 2013.
