The international division of Square Enix have today announced two brand new mobile releases which are now available for different platforms – Final Fantasy V for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, and Chaos Rings for the Windows Phone. If you are unfamiliar with either title, I have posted synopses for each below:

Final Fantasy V
Platform: iOS (compatible with OS 4.3 or later)
Languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish & Chinese (Simplified & Traditional)
Pricing: $15.99

Return to the classic medieval tale of magic, monsters and friendship in FINAL FANTASY V. Twenty years after the original FINAL FANTASY V released in Japan, the classic RPG has found its way to mobile devices. Embark on an epic adventure as four heroes driven together by fate: Bartz and his Chocobo companion, Princess Lenna of Castle Tycoon, the mysterious Galuf, and the pirate captain Faris.

The new mobile version includes the additional Gladiator, Cannoneer, Oracle and Necromancer jobs, as well as the optional boss, Enuo, designed by Tetsuya Nomura. The touch-screen controls and active-time battle system have also been optimized for fluid combat on mobile devices. There will also be plenty of achievements to be earned, along with Game Center support.

Chaos Rings
Platform: Windows Phone (compatible with Windows Phone 7.5; to be compatible with Windows Phone 8.0 at a later time)
Languages: English,
Pricing: $9.99

CHAOS RINGS is a tale of love and loss 10,000 years in the making. Five couples from around the world are summoned together by a mysterious being known only as “The Agent.” The Agent tells them that they must fight to the death in a tournament called the Ark Arena. Should they refuse, they will be killed. There is no escape. Thus, each couple, without knowing where they are or why they must fight, are swept away into a battle for their lives. The sole reward for the victors? The promise of eternal life…
