While there is some question as to if Fruitbat Factory will reach their stretch goal of $7,500 through IndieGoGo to have them release the ’99 Spirits Fandisc’ (Currently at $4,311 with four days remaining), the company have announced some exciting news… that you will have the option of dubs when playing the game.
In a recent blog post made by the company, they have decided to add dual audio to the game, in my opinion a rather surprising but interesting decision. According to this post, they will always be keeping the original Japanese audio in their releases, but are sympathetic to those who prefer to play with an English dub and in this case… have decided to put one together which can be toggled at will.
They have confirmed that Amy Ann Burke will be narrating the opening and voicing Hanabusa in combat. Her previous voice acting work includes work for the BBC and the animated webseries “JRPG Parody”. Expect to hear more on this in the coming weeks.
