As some of you may already be aware, this evening Nintendo held one of their regular Nintendo Direct events, where gamers can tune in (In Australia this is often past midnight) and find themselves informed about all the latest titles and plans from the company.
You may notice that all the text in this article is green. For almost as long as there has been Mario…. there has been his younger brother Luigi. Nintendo have found that he has often been pushed to the side while his brother has his name added to titles such as “Mario Galaxy”, “Super Mario Sunshine”, “Mario Golf” and “Paper Mario”. This has led them to declare this year as the “Year of Luigi” and are therefore not leaving Luigi with only Luigi’s Mansion 2 this year.
As you will watch in the video, they have also confirmed:
- Mario & Luigi
- New Super Luigi U DLC Content for “New Super Mario Bros U” – with Mario removed from the picture
Other interesting announcements set to feature Luigi in some way is a brand new Mario Golf game set to once again be developed by Camelot Software Planning.
