After three installments released over the last couple of years, Tecmo Koei and Omega Force are to release the next major numbered installment in the Dynasty Warriors series next month in Japan. Titled Dynasty Warriors 8 (Dynasty Warriors 7 in Japan due to numbering discrepancies), the game is set to bring back characters both new and old, as well as an assortment of gameplay improvements.
The company have recently released a new (almost) six minute trailer for the game which I invite you to view above and contains quite a lot of gameplay footage. Unlike previous installments, it is currently planned for Dynasty Warriors 8 to be on the Playstation 3 exclusively (At least in Japan). The next international release is set to be Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires, which is also only headed to the Playstation 3 console.
