NIS America to Release Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories as Playstation 2 Classic on Playstation Network

-

disg2While I am sure many are waiting to see a re-release of the first Disgaea game, Nippon Ichi Software America have todaya announced that their strategy RPG Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories will be available on the Playstation Network as a Playstation 2 Classics title later this month – or more specifically the 22nd January 2013. This will only be playable on the Playstation 3 – however a port was made for the Playstation Portable a couple of years ago.

Originally released in 2006, lovers of challenging yet rewarding strategy RPG’s will find Disgaea 2: Cursed memories addicting with a crazy and over-the-top storyline and set of characters, coupled with classic Disgaea-style music and complex gameplay… at least that is what I found.

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories will be available at a price of $9.99

About the game

In the lush world of Veldime, the curse that was placed upon the planet by Overlord Zenon is turning the people into demons, and transforming the world into a Netherworld. After 15 years of living as demons, the citizens of Holt Village are finally ready to perform a ritual to summon Overload Zenon. Now Adell, a young demon hunter, Rozalin, the daughter of the Overlord who was mistakenly summoned, and an assassin from another Netherworld, Etna, are all looking for Zenon.
