Electronic Arts and Maxis have today confirmed some all-important details for their upcoming beta test for SimCity on the PC…. although unfortunately for some fans this may come across as a demo more than anything else. The beta is set to run between the 26th and 28th of January (Starting at 4am EAT and ending at 7pm EAT respectively) and will offer fans the change to play a one hour slice of the game (Repeated playthroughs are allowed) and aim at delivering final feedback that will help share the product.
Eager fans can still sign up for consideration until 7pm EAT on the 21st January 2013.
Lucy Bradshaw | Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA’s Maxis Label
It is always an exciting moment to share a game that is still in development with its biggest fans prior to launch. This beta will help the team improve the live service aspects of SimCity to ensure a smooth and user-friendly experience at launch. I want to thank everyone for signing up – we are excited to share one of our most beloved franchises with our fans.
