While I don’t believe these are produced anymore, back when Digimon was first launched it came alongside a rather extensive series of Digivice pedometer toys, where similar to Tamagotchi devices you were able to obtain your own Digimon and as you walked around certain events occured such as battles or potentially recruiting other digimon.
According to this latest trailer for the upcoming PSP release to celebrate the series 15th anniversary, it seems like they will be paying homage to the toys by incorporating one into the game. From the looks of things the design is of the very first Digivice toy that was released in Japan.
