Sony Network Entertainment International and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have today unveiled a new online store that enables users of the Playstation 3, Playstation Vita and PC platforms to conveniently discover and purchase games, videos and more via desktop web browsers. The new online store which is now available in 15 PAL countries (Including Australia and New Zealand), sets out to offer users rich product pages with easy to use search and content discovery for the integrated catalog of potentially millions of pieces of game released content including downloadable games, add-ons, themes, movies and TV Shows.

This launch follows the recent redesign of the Playstation Store for the Playstation 3, and is part of the companies on-going process of PS Store Development. They have announced their intention to continue updating both the PS Store and Online store with new features. An example provided mentions that users of the new online store can look forward to the addition of advanced recommendation functionality and automatic remote download of purchased content, as well as mobile phone and tablet browsing in the future.

The new store is now available in the following countries: UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Russia, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark and Finland.
