Back in July I wrote an article entitled ‘The Many DLC Costumes of Tales of Xillia – What You May Expect To See as DLC Content In The Upcoming English Release‘ to celebrate the recent announcement of Namco Bandai planning to localize and release the game internationally (Unfortunately most of these actually cost money as you would have seen with Tales of Graces f).
Fortunately, if and when Tales of Xillia 2 is released internationally it should be possible to transfer all those costumes to the sequel as it retains all six main playable characters (and adds several more).
But as well, Namco Bandai have been releasing further DLC costumes and accessories for the game. Therefore I thought I would write this article detailing what costumes are currently on offer for the game in Japan at this point in time and what you may see released in our regions when it is.
Code Geass Costumes – For all playable characters
Each of the games main characters have a costume based on a character from the Code Geass series. Given I have not actually watched much into the series I can’t say for sure who each of the characters represent, but if you are a fan of the series you should be able to work them out from the trailer and screenshots.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica – For Milla, Elise and Leia
As with Code Geass, another anime costume collaboration has been formed for Tales of Xillia 2. The Puella Magi Madoka Magica costume set will see returning playable characters Milla, Elise and Leia dress up as Homura, Madoka and Mami respectively.
School Uniforms – For New Characters Only
One of the DLC sets in Tales of Xillia were based around school uniforms, and as you can transfer over costumes from the original there is no need to provide new ones for each character. Instead, they have released costumes for the three new characters – Ludger, Gaius and Muse.
Sports Attire – For All Playable Characters
In this set of DLC costumes, each of the nine playable characters will each receive a sports uniform for an individual sport. The list of characters to sport is as follows:
- Ludger – Basketball
- Jude – Football
- Milla – Tennis
- Leia – Soccer
- Alvin – Baseball
- Elise – Gymnastics
- Roen – Archery
- Gaius – Judo
- Musee – Swimming
Swimwear
As it was with the school uniforms, characters from Tales of Xillia have already had DLC swimwear released. Therefore, this latest batch pertains only to Ludger, Gaius and Muse.
In addition, first print runs of the game came with three additional DLC costumes for Ludger, Jude and Millia which were based on the protagonists from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, Vesperia and Graces.
It is possible more DLC costumes and accessories will be released in the coming weeks, but this should give you an idea about what is on offer for Tales of Xillia 2 in terms of DLC goods.
Tales of Xillia is set for an international release during 2013. To read my review of the first game click HERE. My review of ToX2 should be out in the next week or so.
