Sony Computer Entertainment Japan to End Weekly Toro Station in March 2013

-

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan to End Weekly Toro Station in March 2013 1While for some Toro Inoue may just be a character that appears in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, this character has a whole series behind him whilst also serving as a sort of mascot for Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and news reporter.

Launching in 2006, Mainichi Issho was a daily news program involving reports by Toro, Kuro and a number of other characters seeking to introduce new games and other things to the viewer. In 2009 this service was ended and replaced with Weekly Toro Station which provided weekly blocks of news and has been running ever since.

After allowing users to become acquainted with their own customisable Nyavatar over the years and collecting many collectable goodies to display in their “rooms” amongst other activities – the service is set to end next year. According to a post on the official website HERE, the service is set to end on the 28th March 2013.

While there is almost nothing on The Otaku’s Study in regards to this particular title, there is a review for Toro! Let’s Party! (A game released during the series 10th anniversary) on the Playstation 3 HERE .
