A short while ago, Nintendo of Japan launched a brand new Nintendo Direct conference focused on the upcoming launch of the Wii U console. Coming in at just short of an hour, this conference focuses on the Miiverse feature will will be your starting point as soon as you boot up the console including the functionality behind the Nintendo Network ID (No more friend codes!).
In addition, they provide a new look at New Super Mario Bros. 2 and the ability to access the Miiverse mid-game to access game-specific communication (Screenshot sharing, help/message boards etc) amongst other features.
