Nintendo Release New Nintendo Direct Mini – New DLC Stages for New Super Mario Bros. 2 Previewed

-

Update: Video now working.

Nintendo of America recently held and uploaded to their Youtube channel a brand new Nintendo Direct Mini conference. While not claiming the swarms of information announced through the previous Nintendo Direct which saw pricing and games unveiled for the Wii U – further information was announced on New Super Mario Bros. 2.

North America, and assumingly other regions will receive three DLC packs containing three stages for Coin Rush mode each. These packs include:

Gold Rush Pack
Difficulty: * – – – –
In the Gold Rush Pack you are transformed into Golden Mario and go on a coin collecting spree. Your mission in this pack is to max the counter out at 30,000 coins.

Coin Challenge Pack A
Difficulty * * * – –
In Coin Challenge Pack A, you are left to compete for a high score on the games online worldwide leaderboards.

Nerve-Wrack Pack
Difficulty: * * * * *
As the title and maxed out difficulty bar may already indicate,  this is a set of three stages set to challenge even the veteran gamers (Will it prove as difficult as Eryi’s Action however?).

Each of the three packs will set you back $2.50 and can be purchased from the Coin Rush menu in-game. The first round of packs are set to go live on the 4th October 2012 in North America with more planned for the future.

Update 2: Thanks to reader Ben (@Aspirety), this release date only seems to pertain to North America and the DLC stages have already been released in Australia and Japan at the very least.
