While chances for an international release of any game in “The Idolm@ster” franchise outside of the anime series seems low at best, Namco Bandai in Japan are preparing their next installment in the long-running series ‘The Idolm@ster: Shiny Festa’. Headed to the Playstation Portable, this game follows the release system of previous PSP releases, where they have three titles ‘Honey Sound’, ‘Funky Note’ and ‘Groovy Tune’, each with different idols.
The trailer shown above, showcases more of each games animated scenes and the games gameplay systems, which go from the normal idol raising mechanics to those of a rhythm game.
All three games will be released on the Playstation Portable on the 25th October 2012. Each of these will set you back 5,980 yen for the UMD edition or 5,380 for the downloadable edition. Given I have reviewed The Idolm@ster 2 on the Playstation 3 previously (HERE), I am contemplating picking up one of these titles for review.
