As Wii Sports is to the Wii and Sports Champions is for the Playstation 3, Kinect Sports is the XBox360 Kinect equivalent of a basic sport game. Since launching in 2010 there have been two games developed in the series, the first by Rare and the second co-developed by Rare and BigPark. While I can’t say I have fully embraced either the Move or Kinect in my normal gameplay, this was the first game I purchased for the Kinect and it is an enjoyable, well-designed game to showcase what the system is capable of.
Turns out that Microsoft is releasing a “Kinect Sports: Ultimate Collection”, comprising of both games in the one package (Totalling 13 sports) plus extra bonus content including basketball, the back nine golf holes and new night ski runs.
