Within the period of a week we have seen Square Enix formally announce and release The World Ends With You on the iOS (The World Ends with You: Solo Remix / Subarashiki Kono Sekai: Solo Remix) to both Japanese and English speaking audiences, it receive a solid A in a review on this site (HERE) but at the same time receive a very mixed reception from fans – some of who associated a big countdown as being a lead-up to the much anticipated sequel announcement… which never eventuated.
Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like the end for Square Enix’s plans with the series just yet. In this weeks Famitsu, director Tatsuya Kando answered a few questions in relation to the series. While promoting the title, in his closing remarks he hinted that they were working on a variety to things potentially in relation to the series – but to enjoy Solo Remix at the moment.
Sequel? Anime Release? Playstation Vita release? Only time will tell with this one….
