As I post this, the countdown on Square Enix’s “Subarashiki Kono Sekai” (The World Ends With You) website keeps ticking down to the 0 mark, where one or more announcements will be made. Due to a few accidental leaks by the company through their e-store yesterday, it is now believed an iOS announcement will be in the works.
However through Twitter, Brian Gray – the lead translator of TWEWY for the Nintendo DS tweeted this status update in regards to the announcement:
Before everyone decides the #twewy countdown is over, they might want to wait for the countdown to be over. #moredripthanleak
Therefore, while it could be that the iOS and new soundtrack are the only things in the works, we may just see that Nintendo 3DS sequel that fans and the console itself deserves. Or at the very least you can keep your hopes up for another day and a bit.
While you are at it, check out the countdown page HERE… as the days tick down they are adding more and more to the background music – with it being a remix of several songs from the original game and harmonizes quite well.
