Given the fact the game has been out for several months now and it isn’t that difficult a game, I don’t personally see much purpose to this, however Capcom have announced that they will be releasing a patch on the 6th August 2012 which will unlock an “Easy Mode” within the game. This update will allow you to switch to “Easy” whenever you like, however there is no word on if there will be any consequences of doing so (Loot Drop decreases etc).
In addition, Playstation 3 owners can look forward a brand new “Adventure Demo” which will let you play the game from start to the initial Hydra battle about half an hour or so into the game. As with the first demo you will be able to create your own Main Character and pawn, carrying both over if or when you decide to purchase the full game. The demo will be released on the 9th August 2012.
I reviewed Dragon’s Dogma in late June and gave it a score of B+, citing solid gameplay but would have benefited from a more structured storyline. You can read my thoughts on the title HERE.
