According to reports made by Atlus USA staff through their official forums…. if you are a fan of Persona 4 Arena and live outside North/South America or Japan you will be unhappy to know that Persona 4 Arena on the Playstation 3 may be region locked to the Americas. If so, disappointingly it will be the first game on the console to be region locked at all, with every other physical media release on the console being suited to local purchasers and importers alike (Something I myself do occasionally for titles that are not available in the Australian market – for each Japanese, Asia English, EU and US titles).
Besides this mention through the official forums, we are unable to point fingers at the exact reasoning behind this decision but hopefully ATLUS USA will make an official announcement about this over the next day or so to confirm or deny this. Currently there is no PAL region distributor of the game.
Is personally a bit peeved
Despite my own region potentially not being covered by this release, I will still be covering the title with all future preview videos/screenshots and word on if we will be seeing a PAL release in the future.
