While we were treated to our first set of English localized screenshots on the games official English website, Nippon Ichi Software America have today released a huge set of 99 screenshots for the title. With this number of screenshots, they focus on several of the games features and gameplay systems. Most strongly present are those travelling around the several world maps in the game as some of the ChouChou forms you will have access to (8 in total – each with an individual respective personality), the games battle system which is improved upon the one in Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk.2 and the dialogue which from previews seems to contain the wit and humor of other NIS America localizations of Compile Heart games.
A few other fun tidits include an animated dancing cutscene which plays at the beginning of the game, the “Peon Salon” which allows you to create your own party members and customize them with in-game and DLC clothing, “Moe Kill” which allows you to attack and occasionally enslave enemies and finally the Mugen Field which serves as the games multi-story monster-killing grindfest.
A noticeable omission from the screenshot batch were the bath and bathing scenes, which while nothing has been confirmed yet may mean they have been edited in or out of the game.
These are just 99 screenshots however, but The Otaku’s Study has a wealth more articles, screenshots, preview videos and even a Japanese-language review for Mugen Souls (Including occasional glimpses at the games bathing scenes if it floats your boat). You can read all of them under the Mugen Souls category.
