Regular readers of The Otaku’s Study may recall that I did basic character profiles for each of the characters in Mugen Souls as they were announced by Compile Heart. With the opening of the games official website, Nippon Ichi Software America have posted up character bios for those who could be considered the games three main characters + Prinny-esque Mascot character. I have included all of these below for you:
Chou-Chou Infinite
Class: Undisputed God | “I will make everything in this world mine!“
She is the main character in Mugen Souls. She has declared her plan to conquer each of the seven worlds, her reasoning being that each of the worlds have unique, beautiful features. Oh… and that she wants them all. She has two special abilities thanks to her title of undisputed god. ONE: The ability to make anyone or anything that likes, loved, adores, or worships her into her obedient servant – Peon Rebirth. The second allows her to change her appearance to match a different personality – Form Change (and you can switch between them in game).
Altis
Class: Amazing Angel | “I’m no angel. I’m a demon! A vile, wicked demon!“
She is an angelic girl who lost her claim to the title of demon. Altis is so utterly clumsy that, during her tenure as a demon, she always ended up doing something good whenever she tried to stir up trouble… for one reason or another. Proving incapable of delivering her desired amounts of evil, she was eventually reborn as an angel and booted out of the Netherworld. Not one to be discouraged by such a minor setback, she still spends her days plotting evil schemes in order to be reborn as a demon once more
Ryuto
Class: Chou-Chou’s Vassal | “Amazing, as expected of Lady Chou-Chou! I’ll follow you to the edge of the universe!”
Chou-chou’s first vassal worth noting. He used an interstellar ship with the hopes and dreams of adventuring throughout the universe, but when reality fell short of his aspirations, he met Chou-Chou and instantly fell for her (Which if you read Chou-Chou’s description you will know what this means). Since then, he has become her loyal servant and is in charge of her ships upkeep. He does not mind the labor… so long as he can remain close to Chou-Chou.
Shampuru
Class: Servant | “Puru!”
Monsters affected by Chou-Chou’s Peon Rebirth transform into shampurus. Beings with some degree of power can maintain their original form, whereas weak ones turn into these fluffy critters. This is the basic form, but depending on their original form and the manner in which they were changed… their exact forms may differ. Expect to see Shampuru appear quite frequently in the game.
