Nippon Ichi Software America Unveil Limited Edition + Figure Set Release of Mugen Souls

Nippon Ichi Software America Unveil Limited Edition + Figure Set Release of Mugen Souls 1

Aside the rather disappointing cancellation of Disgaea for Android, Nippon Ichi Software America’s recent Prinny Bomb Newsletter also contained some rather good news pertaining to the upcoming release of Mugen Souls on the Playstation 3. The company has today unveiled information on the games Limited Edition release which will include their ordinary extra content alongside a few nice goodies – these include:

  • A Limited Edition Box to store the below in
  • Mugen Souls game for the Playstation 3
  • Mugen Souls Artbook (Which judging from its cover may be based on the original Japanese softcover artbook, and is a fairly nice artbook overall)
  • Mugen Souls OST (The Japanese OST I believe spanned over two discs, so I assume this will contain only a selection of tracks from the game)
  • Shampuru Bath Set (Yes, this game does put emphasis on hot springs)
  • Mugen Souls Nendoroid Petite Figures (Thats right folks, as you can see at the bottom of the image above, this limited edition release will come with three Nendoroid figures of main characters Chou-Chou and Altis, plus a smaller one for series mascot Shampuru. Chou-chou and Altis have interchangable face and arm pieces)

This set can be ordered from HERE at a price of $99.99 USD. Not too sure if the game itself is worth the slightly costlier price? While I have not reviewed the English release as of yet I did do a review of the Japanese release where I shared my own opinions on it, which can be read HERE. Do note that this review does not heavily factor in storyline and the game has been slated to be slightly edited for the English release. The game is due for release on the 18th September 2012.

While NIS America have yet to do much in terms of promotion for the game, The Otaku’s Study has compiled character bios, game screenshots, trailers etc from Compile Hearts Japanese promotion of the game – all of which can be read under the Mugen Souls category.

Founder of The Otaku's Study. I have been exploring this labyrinth of fandom these last fifteen years, and still nowhere close to the exit yet. Probably searching for a long time to come.
